HP had an opportunity to turn this product series into the VW beetle of netbooks - or a practical raspberry pi of sorts. But they blew it... This could be a dream tool for modular modification (i.e. 3g add-ons, drives, memory etc). Apparently 3g is completely out of the question as you need the aerial, a sim card reader and the pcie card - none of which can be installed... Nice little machine, although some connection problems All in all this is a nice little machine. It runs well, boots in about 60 seconds (faster than most netbooks I've seen/used in the past), and is a nice size for working on. This morning I spoke with ASUS support (a guy called Grant) and he was adamant that the RAM was fixed to the motherboard and could not be upgraded but said the 1025CE could be ordered either as a 1GB or 2GB variant. According to the Manufacturers description it is good for viewing YouTube,iPlayer etc.etc. and with an HDMI out for HD (should one ever want to watch HD on an external screen)and of course, wifi and portable with fair battery...
